Senior Pastors

Bishop Sterling V. Porter, III is a native of Annapolis, Maryland. Receiving his early education in the Anne Arundel County Public School System, he is a graduate of the Yorktowne Business Institute in the field of Computer Technology and attended Anne Arundel Community College. He was employed as a Senior Programmer Analyst for the Mercantile Safe Deposit & Trust Company in Linthicum, Maryland before entering into full-time ministry.

Bishop Porter received his spiritual nurturing at the Holy Temple Cathedral Church of God International, Inc. in Annapolis, Maryland under the leadership of its founder, Bishop Wilbert L. Baltimore. Serving this ministry in many capacities, he also served as a pianist, organist, and choral director for several choirs in the Annapolis, Baltimore, and Washington Metropolitan areas.

Bishop Porter was appointed as a Presiding Elder in his churches parent body, King’s Apostle Church Of God, Inc., in 1995. Because he chose to “despise not the day of small beginnings,” he steadfastly under girded the visionary and functioned in a Spirit of Excellence. In August of 1998, he was appointed as the National Field Supervisor for the General Church. He accepted the call as Senior Pastor of Baltimore Temple (now known as Kingdom Life Cathedral) in Ranson, West Virginia in November 1999. This congregation is serious about their mission to share the gospel to all mankind, while birthing a People of Purpose, Passion, and Power. The congregation has acquired a 10-acre tract of land and currently is in their design stages to build a campus to house the multi-facet ministry that God has given them.

Bishop Porter was consecrated to the sacred office of Bishop in July 2001 and was appointed as Diocesan Bishop of the Second Episcopal Diocese of Kings Apostle Church World Ministries, Inc., encompassing churches within the states of New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, and West Virginia. In July 2003, Bishop Porter was elevated to the office of 1st Vice Bishop. An anointed preacher, teacher, instructor, and counselor, Bishop Porter received his Associate of Arts degree from Logos University. He continued on to receive his Bachelors of Arts in Theology, Masters of Theology, and Doctorate of Theology from the North Carolina College of Theology. In March 2013, Bishop Porter was consecrated to the Sacred office of Apostle by the Kings Apostle Church World Ministries, Inc.

Bishop Porter travels extensively to cities all over the United States sharing the Gospel. In addition, he has been honored and favored by God to have the opportunity to preach in the Bahamas and Panama. His greatest joy is seeing men and women come unto the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. His mission is to extend the Kingdom of God, and fulfill the purpose that God had preordained for him. His message to mankind is found in the passage John 10:10 “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.”

Dr. Yvette L. Porter has been involved in ministry all of her life. God was preparing her for the responsibility of carrying out God’s vision for his people with her husband, and for enriching the lives of his people through her special gifts.

A native of New York City, Yvette and her family moved to Teaneck, NJ when she was a teen and received her early spiritual nurturing while attending Varick Memorial A.M.E Zion Church. After moving to Maryland to attend Morgan State University, Yvette was nurtured and blossomed in her spiritual call at Kingdom Worship Center in Towson, MD under the leadership of Bishop Ralph L. Dennis and Lady Deborah S. Dennis. She served this ministry for over twenty years in various capacities including: Member of the Pastor’s Aid, President of the Choir, Chairperson of the Trustee Board, CFO, Deacon and Elder-Designate.

Yvette’s primary gifting is Administration. She has been divinely called to assist with church government and order. As a result, she has often assisted Pastors with establishing foundational order in their churches. She has a special passion for seeing God’s people empowered, living this life in victory, taking dominion and extending the Kingdom of God. Consequently, Yvette is a General Partner and Co-Founder of Workman and Brown Church Financial Services. Yvette’s spiritual gifting has also been reflected in her secular career path within corporate America, the result of which has allowed her to live and work in states across the United States and abroad.

Lady Yvette Porter shares in ministry with her husband, Bishop Sterling V. Porter, III, the Set Gift of Kingdom Life Cathedral, K.A.C.W.M. Together they serve that congregation which is located in Ranson, West Virginia. This ministry is serious about their mission to share the gospel to all mankind, Fulfill God’s Purpose, and Extend His Kingdom. Together, Bishop and Lady Porter are Birthing A People of Purpose, Passion and Power that are Committed to God, Celebrating one another, and Cultivating their community.

With Spirit-filled wisdom and power, Dr. Yvette Porter speaks words of encouragement and life to everyone she encounters. Her favorite scripture is, “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly”; St. John 10:10.

The Lord has blessed the Porters to share in ministry together along with many spiritual sons and daughters whom they have embraced and received into their family.

Elders Richard and Denise Rideoutt

Parish Pastors

Our Parish Pastors focus on building strong relationships with the congregation.  They serve as the liaisons between Pastoral Leadership and the congregation.  As all members of Kingdom Life Cathedral Ministries, they are called to serve God’s most valued treasure – people.  They find balance between building relationships and handling administrative tasks thus making this team a critical component of our Leadership that aids in nurturing a vital and effective congregation.  They regularly visit and service communion to our sick and shut in members, provide spiritual direction in personal meetings, facilitate bereavement services, perform weddings and funerals, and all other services as assigned.  They have been elected to and for Kingdom work.

We pray in the Lord’s Prayer that God’s will be done and Kingdom come.  Strong relationships lead to ministry that impacts Christian disciple-making so that God’s will may be done for the transformation of our community and our world.
